The third preseason match up serves as a sort of “dress rehearsal” for most NFL teams. For the Colts, this will not be the case. The Colts will go head to head this Saturday with the Chicago Bears.

Instead of playing their starters, the team will focus primarily on those still fighting for a regular-season roster position. “No, there are spots open. It’s very competitive,” Coach Frank Reich said Wednesday “I mean we said from the start, this is a good football team. There are a lot of good football players on this team. This is the NFL, each one of us – each coach, each player – fights for his spot every day. That’s really the mentality that we want.”

The Colts will focus their final weeks of practice before the regular season on keeping their starters healthy and preparing them for the first week against the Los Angeles Chargers. Colts and Chargers will kick off their third preseason match up at 7:00pm EST at Lucas Oil Stadium.
