GAMEDAY: Notre Dame vs. Louisville

The College football season kicks off for the Fighting Irish as they go head-to-head tonight with the Louisville Cardinals at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals begin their season with head coach, Scott Satterfield. Satterfield, coming from a successful tenure at Appalachian State, replaced head coach Bobby Petrino last year in game 11 after a disappointing 2-8 start. The Cardinals finished their 2018 season with a record of 2-10.

While the 2019 season will serve as a ‘breath of fresh air’ for the rebuilding program, they have their work cut out for them tonight against the Fighting Irish.

Notre Dame Football had a stellar season in 2018. The Fighting Irish went 12-1 last season with their only loss coming from national champion Clemson in the playoff semifinal. The team had a long off-season and is entering their first match-up of 2019 with a chip on their shoulder and a national championship in the back of their mind.

The season kicks off for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish tonight at 8:00pm ET.
