The Colts had an explosive match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

For the first time in a long time, they also had an explosive win.

Indianapolis destroyed Jacksonville 33-13.

The Colt’s came into Sunday’s game with a new confidence that has not been seen in weeks. Jacoby Brissett returned after taking two weeks to heal from an MCL strain suffered during the week-9 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Having the team’s General back on the field seemed to boost not only moral, but overall performance. Jacoby ended the game completing 15 of 24 pass attempts for 148 yards, one touchdown and one interception (an arguably uncalled pass interference penalty). He also had 12 rushing yards that earned him a run-in touchdown. Brissett had virtually no trouble picking up his role on the field as he left it. It goes without saying that he played a major role in the blowout win against the Jaguars, but it was truly an all-around team effort that won the game.

The Colt’s offense was undeniably on fire during Sunday’s game. Indy rushed for 264-yards, a season-high for the team. Marlon Mack (before exiting the game with a fractured hand) racked up a stunning 109-yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts. Jonathan Williams took over for Mack after his game-ending injury and was unstoppable. Williams gained 116-yards on 13 attempts. He also had one reception for 31-yards. Marlon Mack is out indefinitely, meaning there is a good chance that we will see much more of Williams in the coming weeks. Sunday was only the third time in franchise history that two running backs have rushed for a total of over 200-yards in one game, and the first time since October 6th, 1985.

The Colt’s defense held the Jag’s offense to only 13 points in Sundays game. Justin Houston (Colt’s DE) recorded a sack on Sunday that put him at one every game in the last six weeks and 8 (in total) on the season. The defensive line provided consistent pressure on the Jags offense throughout the game. On a two-point conversion attempt, Bobby Okereke picked off Nick Foles and returned the attempt for two-points.

Adam Vinatieri completed four conversion kicks and a field goal on Sunday. He also broke the record for most field goal attempts in NFL history (710 attempts).

The Colt’s showed off something throughout Sunday’s game that has been missing nearly all season – consistency.

Oh yeah, and we also got to see Quinton Nelson do a keg stand.

”I almost cried because I thought that (Nelson’s) celebration was pretty cool. I hope that still can be nominated as one of the best celebrations because I don’t know how they picked him up”, Brissett Said.

The Colt’s have a quick turn around this week, taking on the Houston Texans on Thursday night at NRG Stadium.
