Week 13: Colts vs. Titans – Recap.

Another Week… Another team we should have beat…

Another disappointment.

The Colts played the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. After four quarters of mediocre football, the Titans came out victorious with a 31 to 17 win.

*Sigh

The game began with solid luck (no, not that one) for the Colts after Anthony Walker forced a fumble on the first play of the game for a turnover. The Colts quickly marched downfield and Jacoby Brissett Connected with Jack Doyle for the first score of the game. Nyheim Hines recorded the only other touchdown of the day for the Colts. Jacoby BrissettĀ completed 25 of 40 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown, and three sacks. Brissett also threw two late Interceptions that would prove detrimental for the Colts. Unfortunately, the Colt’s passing game was extremely limited on Sunday because of T.Y. Hilton and Eric Ebron’s absence due to injuries. Rushing was also an evident issue in the absence of Marlon Mack.

The biggest disappointment of the day (queue the broken record) was Adam Vinatieri.

Vinatieri missed a 55-yard field goal attempt, had a 53-yard field goal attempt blocked, and had a blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown by the Titans. At this point in the season and after countless misses from the veteran kicker, the future does not look bright for Vinatieri. Let’s be honest, it would hurt to have to replace Adam, but its nothing the Colts have not already had to go through this season.

The Colt’s fall to the third in the AFC South with the Titan’s win on Sunday.

Playoff hopes are quickly disappearing for Indianapolis.

The Colt’s return next Sunday atĀ Raymond James Stadium, facing off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
