500 Festival Announces New Dates For This Year’s Events

The Indy 500 has officially been moved to August 23. When the announcement broke last week, many people were curious what would happen with the 500 Festival Events. Well, now we know!

In accordance with the new date, many of the events have also been moved to August. Per a press release from the Festival, here is the current list of new dates:

·     500 Festival Kickoff to May, presented by STAR Bank: Friday, August 7, 2020

·     Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day and Rookie Run: Saturday, August 8, 2020

·     500 Festival Breakfast at the Brickyard, presented by Midwestern Engineers, Inc. – Saturday, August 15, 2020

·     500 Festival Volunteer Appreciation Day – Saturday, August 15, 2020

·     500 Festival Memorial Service, presented by Rolls-Royce – Friday, August 21, 2020

·     500 Festival Off the Grid, presented by KeyBank – Friday, August 21, 2020

·     IPL 500 Festival Parade – Saturday, August 22, 2020

Of course, we all hope to be back up and running as close to normal as possible by August. But, no one really knows what will happen with COVID-19 by then.

So, the 500 Festival will continue to monitor the situation, and as more event details are finalized, they will be shared with the community.
