#7 Notre Dame Dominates

This was an old-fashioned win for Notre Dame. Ian Book only threw the ball 19 times. He completed 12 of them for 143 yards and did not throw for a touchdown. Book scored on the ground for the Irish, rushing for 3 touchdowns on 4 attempts. Armstrong, Tyree and Flemister each added a rushing touchdown as well.

The defense controlled every part of the USF offense, pitching their first shut-out of the season. The Bulls had two different quarterbacks throw the ball more than 10 times, neither of them had more than 60 yards. Johnny Ford rushed for 70 yards but no other player had more than 25 yards.

Notre Dame hits the road for their third game of the season. They’ll head to Wake Forest to take on the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest is 0-2 so far this season, losing to Clemson and NC State in their first two games.
