Notre Dame vs Cincinnati:

The Irish welcomed the Bearcats to South Bend for a top 10 matchup. After a scoreless 1st quarter, Cincinnati dominated the 2nd quarter and went into the half up 17-0. Notre Dame would use 3 different quarterbacks in this game. Drew Pyne was the only one able to lead scoring drives, but they wouldn’t be enough. Notre Dame loses their first game of the season 24-13. They’ll head to Virginia Tech next weekend.

Indiana vs. Penn State:

After the game last year where Penix scrambled and scored a diving touchdown in overtime to win the game, it’s no surprise that a top 5 Penn State team would come in this game looking to dominate. That’s exactly what happened. The Hoosier offense struggled to move the ball and Penix left the game early with another injury. Indiana loses 24-0 and falls to 2-3. They’ve got a week off before homecoming on the 16th against Michigan State.

Purdue vs. Minnesota:

Minnesota came to West Lafeyette for Purdue’s second Big Ten game of the year. The Boilermakers led at halftime but went scoreless in the 2nd half and we unable to hold onto the lead. Minnesota beats Purdue 20-13. Purdue moves to 3-2 on the season. They’ll play again on the 16th at Iowa.

Ball State vs. Army:

The Cardinals welcomed an undefeated Army team to Muncie on Saturday. After a dominating 1st quarter Ball State led the game 21-0. Army answered in the 2nd quarter and trailed 21-14 at the end of the half. After a scoreless 3rd, Ball State would hold on in the 4th to take the victory 28-16. Ball State is now 2-3. They’ll head to Western Michigan next week.
