#14 Notre Dame at Virginia Tech:

A night game in Blacksburg is not an easy place to play. The QB controversy continued, Coan and Buchner both took snaps for Notre Dame. The Irish started slow, failing to score in the 1st quarter, but bounced back in the 2nd taking a 14-13 lead into halftime. The second half was back and forth all the way to the finish. Notre Dame wins this one on a last second field goal 32-29. Notre Dame has this week off before they host USC on 10/23.

Ball State vs. Western Michigan:

Ball State entered the game 0-1 in conference play and a game under .500 when Western Michigan came to town. After a close 1st half and a low scoring 3rd quarter, Ball State led by just 4 heading into the 4th. It was all Cardinals in the final quarter, outscoring Wester Michigan 21-0 and taking the win 45-20. Ball State heads to Eastern Michigan this week.

Indiana and Purdue both had the week off. Purdue will play in Iowa on Saturday and the Hoosiers host Michigan State for homecoming.
