Notre Dame vs. Navy:

It’s down to crunch time for the Irish. They can’t lose games and they’re going to need some help from teams in front of them to get into the College Football Playoff. Notre Dame took care of business this weekend, beating Navy 34-6. Wake Forest and Michigan State are both teams in front of Notre Dame that lost this weekend.

Purdue vs. Michigan State:

The Boilermakers did it again! Purdue has fully embraced the role of spoiler. The Spartans came into Ross-Ade ranked number 3 in the College Football Playoff. Purdue controlled the game the whole way. O’Connell threw for 536 yards. Purdue becomes bowl eligible with the win and beat a top 3 team for the second time this season.

Indiana vs. Michigan:

The struggles continue for the Hoosiers. Indiana was ranked to begin the year, and that’s really been the highlight of the entire season. It never felt like Indiana had a chance in this game. Michigan was looking for a bounce back game after a disappointing one last week. Michigan beats Indiana 29-7. The Hoosiers will now not be eligible for a bowl, racking up their 7th loss of the season.

Ball State vs Akron:

The Cardinals play their last 4 games of the season during the middle of the week, and it started with Akron. A weaker Akron team hung with Ball State and made things interesting in the 4th quarter, but the Cardinals hold on for the 31-25 win. Ball State moves to 5-4 on the season and sit a game behind Northern Illinois the top spot in the MAC West.
